Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.'
.

The abduction of 11-year-old Carlie Bruscia is every parents' nightmare. My heart went out to the mother and father of this child who was abducted eariler this week. The video of her abduction from the car wash parking lot splashed unto the cable TV screen, it was an Amber Alert. Normally, I get upset seeing these Emergency Alerts come across my cable programming because its at the crescendo of the who dunnit or the tail end of a great movie. But this time, my heart was touched greatly. This beautiful little 11 year old was taken without a struggle by a man who was the neighborhood's 'great guy with the kids'. No one can believe this man, who was this great guy with three kids of his own, very protective, could have committed this crime.

The echos of Elizabeth Smart started to echo in my heart. How wonderful it would be if Carlie had the same end result as Elizabeth. Both beautiful girls, with promising futures. But it didn't end this way. It ended tragically for Carlie. I prayed for Carlie when the alert came across my tv screen. But to be honest, I felt she was already destined for death. I dismissed that thought, thinking and hoping for God's intervention like He did for Elizabeth. But the nagging thoughts would not go away. It is no surprise now that Carlie's lifeless body was found in the parking lot.

Then the Lord started to show me why the outcome was so different than I had hoped. You see someone approached a soothsayer, a modern day prophet called a psychic. Then I clearly understood why she was given over to death.

Some years ago, our home was used for church services by my pastor. He was a gifted man, with a small group who specialized in raising up evangelists. Old and wise, he was a tough man of God, preaching hellfire and brimstone and still found a balance with the love of God in his preaching. During one of our meetings, 50 people were hovered in our home when our pastor fell over in death. Forty minutes we worked to get help for him and give him CPR. A group prayed earnestly and rebuked death and destruction. Then a voice called forth the name of the pastor to be restored and made whole in the name of Jesus. After 40 minutes he came back to life. 911 finally came and he was wisked off to the VA hospital. He had little chance of recovering from this heart attack. But we kept our prayers before the throne for 24 hours. He left the hospital retored in less than a week!

Elizabeth Smart's parents called upon the name of the Lord and she was saved.

We called upon the name of the Lord for our pastor and he was saved.

The parents of Carlie Bruscia should have called upon the name of the Lord and perhaps the outcome for their little girl might have been different.

No offense, but the parents probably did call
upon the name of the Lord! What kind of statement
are you writing here? The Child was brutully
murdered because the parents didn't call upon
the name of the Lord? You need to read your Bible
again pal!

No offense taken....

Perhaps the parents did call upon the name of the Lord but second, not first...as the news media mentioned on every CNN report and other news stations, they gave graphic reports of the psychic's findings. It was told that the parents contacted the psychic, for that is one of the questions posed, who called the psychic?

The point is that the first commandment says: Exodus 20:2-6

2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

When someone puts things or other gods [psychics get power from Satan, not God] or people [such as family members] you will then cause God to become jealous. He is suppose to be NUMBER ONE in your heart. If He is not, you will seek other remedies before seeking Him. Putting Him second does not win mercy nor grace from God.

The outcome for the child is tragic and brutal, but unfortunately it might have been different had the parents put God first.

As we saw with the Smarts, they put God first and it was all over the media concerning their faith, not only from their lips but from the lips of the media. They were full of faith and this is the point of my writing. Putting God first brings great favor, mercy, grace, and a good outcome.

There was a very tragic accident some years ago in the Midwest. A family, who were professed Christians lost most of their children in the car crash. The parents were not 'normal' according to the media, but they were relieved that they did not live through such a terrible ordeal. They were, in fact, happy for their children for they knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that their children were in the arms of Jesus. In this, the outcome was favorable, merciful, full of grace, with a good outcome. That's the way the parents looked at it, while the media could not understand their denial, as they saw it. But in fact, it was great faith and understanding of the real outcome of finding the gates of heaven and entering in to be with Jesus.

And by the way, I do read my bible, but more than that, I am a teacher and study the bible daily.

Hi PoetProse,

Please read my response to AirFlores....in it will be some knowledge in answer to your questions and comments. Just to let you know, confession and repentance breaks all curses that our fathers passed onto us. So this is all you need to do and cover yourself with the blood of Jesus. You can also break it over your child of 20 and that will help his spiritual progress too. His father's sins fall upon his child as well, so confessing, repenting, and breaking curses, that is standing in the gap for your child because of the father's sins daily will also help. Pour the blood sis over all your family and bind up those spirits which plague your family.

Hi,

I dont think it is a case of Bad things happening to Bad people and of Good things happening to Good People.

I think it is more a case of ALL people eat from the same tree, the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and the comfort Comes from God.

Yes, prayer changes things but what it changes is our Perspective and our attitudes and not necessarily just our physical surroundings.

I think the Elizabeth Smart family is Mormon at least the helper who kidnapped her for his Mormon Bride is Mormon and the Police who refused for several months to follow the tips to go to a park a few miles away and rescue her were Mormons so really the entire premise of the article is shaky at best and even unsettling.

God Bless you,
David

Sir, no problem! I totally disagree with your hypothysis
about calling on the name of God. First, the police contacted the psychic. CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, and all the fish wraps did report
the psychic was called at the behest of Detectives. I believe
your Bible says that it rains on the just and the unjust.
Your Bible further says that Children do not suffer from the sins
of the fathers. Whether the parents called upon Lucifer or God, what
was destined happened to an unfortunate little angel like Carlie.
The true God will serve Vengance upon that animal Joseph Smith and
the criminal activist Judge who allowed him to brutully murder Carlie.
Have a nice day sir.

David,

I don't think I am making a judgment upon whether someone was bad or good, but I just shared what the Lord revealed me concerning this case. I wrote this posting with His word in mind and intended to promote His word and His commands.

I am also not judging the Mormon faith as being good or bad, but I do know that the faith of the Smart family was instrumental for the outcome of their little girl. She still suffered and did not escape abuse of any kind from her abductors.

It was the idea of calling upon the name of the Lord as we are commanded by God to do that this piece was written. Perhaps it did shake a few people and rightly so if calling upon the name of the Lord is not exercised in their life.

God bless you too David,

Minister Falcon

You said: Your Bible further says that Children do not suffer from the sins of the fathers.

Have you not read these scriptures?

Exodus 20:5 7 Deuteronmy 5:9
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Exodus 34:7
7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."

Numbers 14:18-19
18'The LORD is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.'

You can agree to disagree with me...in that way we are in agreement.

Sir, you are paraphrasing an isolated incident where the
Hebrews were wondering in the desert and the sins of the
fathers carried over to them as punishment for their refusal
to repent as a "NATION". It was slated for the Hebrews nothing more.
By saying that Carlie's parents didn't call upon the name of
the Lord, the Lord allowed this little girl to die to sooth
his anger against the family. Also, by you claiming this,
you are saying your God is capricious! I don't know how
you're getting your conclusions, but I am not even a scholar
of the Bible and I can plainly interpret this historic text
without arriving to a morbid conclusion that a little girl
was brutully raped and murdered because her parents didn't
utter the name of the Lord. You and I WILL NEVER KNOW if those
parents knelt and prayed to the real God for the salvation of
their daughter.

That's the problem with so-called scholar want a be's, they
claim to know the scriptures, they claim to have the answers,
but yet the majority of these people are deceivers and wolves
in sheeps clothing. Just look at all the fools on TBN. I'm not
getting personal with you sir, but I am merely pointing something
out that sends the wrong message to your community when something
so ridiculous is said like little Carlie dying so your God can
get his vengance against her parents because of uttering his name.

Come on sir! Be practical, then we'll have to agree to disagree!

Good day sir :)

I guess that guy's Bible is a different one from what I've read. People always try and interpret the Bible and make it much harder
than it really is. If a child can understand it, then these guys
should understand it. The Bible is so easy to understand that these
guys start adding to it to make it feel like you've got to achieve
levels in order to earn the Real God's favor. I wonder where the Real
God is, I've searched all over, and I'll keep serching for Him, but
I've concluded there are no real Christians in this nation. If the
so-called Christians did believe what the real Bible says, then you
would be demonstrating this great power and be a light in this evil
nation as being a light. The Christians I do see whom in my opinion,
are close to what the bible calls as being true believers are the ones
who are out on the front lines lovingly fighting abortion, fighting
corruption in public office, training up new teachers to infiltrate the schools, exposing evil wherever it is, consequently, these men are
all locked up!
Being satanically entrenched within the order, I would fear these
people in a major way, that is why the leaders are incarcerated. I love the corner churches who are incorporated with their government 501(C)3 licenses. These are man made corporations and God had nothing to do with their start. These corner corporations are exactly what we seek because these men called pastors, who are nothing more than the chairman of the board, are nothing more than businesses! Do we in the order fear them? NEVER! The hoolagans on TBN 40, do we fear them? NEVER! It is the unincorporated Church who is on the front lines demonstrating the true power of a God the real Bible teaches about, not the wimps we have living in Amerika!

It seems as a major mind control in America's church. Nowhere is it being preached about exposing those who are in the shadows, which is good to the order...

Since when is quoting the First of Ten Commanents and isolated incident, paraphrasing, or a hypothesis?

Are you saying that we are not to abide by the Ten Commandents?

Any first year Christian recognizes the need to still obey the Ten Commanents. The three scriptures I quoted are all the First Commandment.

The point of this commentary was not to condemn the child nor the parents but to point out something the Lord showed me. Psychics are not of God, they are from the devil. As I pointed out earlier, Elizabeth Smart did not escape any abuse, but she was given life because of faith filled parents who prayed to God and not employing a psychic.

I'm sorry sir, your interpretation of calling on the
name of the Lord is flawed! I never said the Ten
Commandments were isolated, the time the Hebrews spent
in the wilderness was isolated and a lot of the Old
Testament was written during the time of wandering
Hebrews. You have to stop pinning Carlie's murder
on the psychic thing, the Real God of the Bible didn't
let this poor girl get massacred because of her parents
calling on the name of the Lord. Let's face it, there
are millions of Lords in this world, but the Real Lord
doesn't punish people's children for not calling on Him.
The god you serve is capricious, so I apologize if that
is your god's criteria of murdering people if they don't
call upon his name...

I agree with that, I have a poem somewhere I wrote called The Wilderness Wanderer's

If I can find it i can share it with you if you like.....if not thats cool too!!

Secondly how do you see a police officer using a physcic to help in a missing childs case, and the child is found and returned safely to parrents

or do you think that because it is a physcic that it is impossible for them to do good in the name of God type thing?

Cool on the Poem...please post it :)
As for a psychic...whatever makes the
cops clock tick...but you should reference
Samuel where King Saul consulted the Witch
of Endor. We all will have our day of
atonement and answer for the life we
lived, whether it was for the only true
God, or if it was our own life without Him.

Taker-easy :)
